Focus on creating quality content that provides value to the reader and is relevant to the keywords. The quality of your content can make or break your results. The first step in the content creation process is always the big “WHY”? What the objective of your content? Does your content satisfy one of the 3 E’s? Does it educate, entertain or empower?

During the content creation process keep in mind that Google is trying to understand the intent of keywords that user types in to the search box and then match that intent to high quality relevant content.

Avoid overusing your targeted keywords, remember Google trying to understand the user intent and match the search results to relevant articles. As a general rule of thumb your main keyword should be in the page title (H1), Meta title, Meta description, first sentence, last sentence.

Use different variation of the keywords, for example: for the keyword Financial planning – financial plan, planning your finances, financial planner, Finance planning.  Also the keyword does not need to run next to each other for example: keyword San Diego real estate – Contact our offices for the best real estate services in the greater San Diego area.

3) Unique Title and Meta Description

Just because your website is in the top spot on Google doesn’t 100% guarantee that people will click on it. 5) Site Speed

Over the years a speed of a website has gained more and more importance. Basically Google viewpoint is that poor performing websites provide poor user experience.  Remember with Google it all about providing users with a good experience. Ideal page load time should be under 2 seconds, any longer a user will abandon your website which increases bounce rate and causes you to get dinged by Google.

TIP: Use Google Page speed tool to test your site speed.
